OUR HISTORY
Nokutenda Disability Foundation Inc. is registered in South Australia as a mental health Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO).Working with vulnerable participants with mental health illness (including diverse immigrants and indigenous people) to advance their health and social public welfare.
Nokutenda Disability Foundation is also registered under the Private Voluntary Act (PVO) 2007 in Zimbabwe. Nokutenda seeks to help address the problems by working with people with mental health illness in Zimbabwe.
Our mission
To build inclusive communities where people living with mental illness and disabilities can access the treatment they need and their basic rights are recognized and respected.


FOCUS
The World Health Organization defines mental health as “a state of well-being in which every individual realizes his or her own potential, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to her or his community.” Nokutenda Disability Foundation focuses on promoting mental health for all Zimbabweans, as well as promoting and protecting the rights of individuals with psychosocial and intellectual disabilities.
